About Clear Canvas
Creativity connection
recovery
through art.
Clear Canvas Collective is a contemporary sober art collective supporting artists through exhibitions, creative groups, and community connection.

Born from the weekly Art-ernoon group at Kennedy Street, Clear Canvas creates safe and sober spaces where artists can express themselves, showcase their work, and connect with others through creativity.

We believe there is healing power in creativity and that connection is one of the fundamental principles of recovery.

a message from danny
Celebrating artists in  recovery.
“After seeing the power of creativity within recovery through my weekly art group, Art-ernoon, I wanted to create something that could further support artists and help their work reach wider audiences.

Clear Canvas is about providing a positive, safe space where artists can grow in confidence, connect with others and feel proud of their work and lived experience.”

Clear Canvas Vol. 1
14 — 23 November 2025
Phoenix Art Space, Brighton

Our first exhibition brought together artists whose experiences of recovery have shaped their creative vision, presenting a dialogue between vulnerability and strength.

Through colour, texture, and form, these works embody the resilience of the human spirit and the ongoing pursuit of clarity amid complexity.
